Name: Lady Di
Age: 11
Breed: Crabbet Arabian
Height: 15. hh
History:
Other: I’m currently working with lady in dressage without a bit or saddle. She’s more sensitive when riding then any horse I’ve ever worked with. She doesn’t care for playing ground games and she dislikes putting up with children. Her biggest issue is the horse trailer. No matter what I do I can’t get her to get over that fear. I would love more then anything to be able to take her new places. She loves trail riding but her favorite thing to do is run. She’s fantastic at it and she knows it too. Lady is at the bottom of the herd.
Name: Indian Summer
Age: 18
Breed: Appaloosa cross
Height: 14.3
History:
Other: Summer is my lead mare and my first horse. I don’t know what I’d do without her. She takes most of my newer students as she is amazingly (though I dislike the term) bomb proof. Summers favorite thing to do is eat. We also use Summer as our Vaulting horse.

Athena; Goddess of war and wisdom.
Name: Athena
Age: 12
Breed: Arabian, Thoroughbred, Paint, cross.
Height: 14.2 hh
History:
Other: What to say about Athena…? She’s confusing, inconsistent, unpredictable, loving, dangerous, spooky, sensitive, emotional, smart, willing and a handful of other contradictory words. Athena likes to work at liberty, and lately she’s been liking to play games. She has fantastic ground manners and is easy to ride at a walk, but her trot and canter are another story. Athena is- I think- second in line for lead mare… or a peace maker of sorts.

Mick
Name: Mick
Age: 17
Breed: Appendix Quarter horse
Height: 15.2 hh
History:
Other: Mick was my second horse. He defiantly is a simple, easy horse to deal with. I trust him very much. He loves several of my students. He’ll stand at the round pen waiting for them to open the gait. Because of his club hoof and arthritis I have never been able to really do very much with him. Mick is my herds ‘stallion’.

Run Monarch!
Name: Monarch
Age: 3
Breed: Morgan
Height: 15. hh
History: I bought Monarch from a Morgan breeding barn a few hours away, when he was 10 months old. He is of the old foundation Morgan line, and one of the only regestered Grullo Morgans out there.
Other: Monarch has really attached himself to Summer. He acts very much like her now. I take him for walks down the rode and through the trails as often as possible. He never wants to go back into the pen when were done walking. He likes to run and eat. I have ridden him a few times with no problems at all, but I want to wait until he’s older and more fully grown to start any heavy training. Monarch does not like dogs or chickens or anything of that sort and I don’t know how to get him past it. His worst quality is he can be pretty stubborn and iron headed. His best quality is the opposite, as he can be very soft and attentive when it suits him.

You’re horses are just beautiful and I love your descriptions. Lady Di reminds me of a horse Im leasing for my daughter. The mares name is Sheeza and she too prefers to be ridden bareback and with just her rope halter. We are contemplating showing her in a local schooling show this summer “naked” as I like to say. I have to see if they will allow it, but I think it will be a great opportunity for the horse community to see that you can work with a horse in a light manner. Sheeza was wrecked by her previous owner – an overbearing man who ended up flipping on her cross ties. She has come a long way !
Time to go brush the mud off !
